Dear OTS Team. If you enter on the Entrepreneur Visa. Do you get a National Insurance No? What rights does this give you? Can you work in another job as well.

Also, if my son goes in on a Study Visa will he be able to work and does he get a National Insurance No?

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your questions.

You will need to apply for a national insurance number once you arrive in the UK in order to set up the business and start work. You will not be able to work for another company on the Entrepreneur Visa.

In relation to your son, he can work whilst studying in the UK. He can work a maximum of 20hours per week and full-time during holiday periods. He must apply for a national insurance number in order to work legally in the UK.

Our Solicitors will contact you shortly to discuss your matter further.
