Our employment team also works closely with our corporate department, allowing us to interlace our advice to employers with sound, solid commercial acumen.

Getting Results

Whether you are an employee or an employer, employment disputes are time-consuming, stressful and costly. Our aim is to work personally with all our clients in order to understand their dispute and get it resolved as quickly and cost-effectively as possible. We are proficient in all areas of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration; however, if it becomes clear that litigation is unavoidable, we will represent you in a competent, well-prepared, professional manner. Our employment team has a well-established success record when it comes to litigating on behalf of clients, and our skills and expertise within the employment law tribunal recognised throughout the United Kingdom.

Negotiation

Negotiation permeates through much of employment law.  From employment contracts through to disputes resolutions, our employment solicitors work with both employers and employees, ensuring all clients come away from the negotiating table in a position that benefits their best interests and/or business goals.

Our Training Services for Employers and HR Departments

One of the most effective ways you can reduce the chance of an employee grievance is to ensure your employment contracts and handbooks, as well as policies and procedures comply with current employment regulations.

To this end, we provide training services for solicitors, employers, in-house counsel and HR departments, aimed at arming them with the knowledge needed to be fully compliant with UK employment law.

Our courses include:

  • Training and guidance on public courses to solicitors and HR practitioners
  • Bespoke training on the latest developments in employment law to HR departments and in-house council
  • Providing training on compliance with the Equality Act 2010 (this will provide a defence of ‘reasonable steps taken to comply with the legislation’ should a claim of discrimination be brought by an employee
  • Individually tailored group or one-to-one training sessions with managers on both their obligations, and understanding their roles and responsibilities under UK employment legislation

Prevention is always better than the cure, and our courses have a strong track record of providing relevant individuals with the knowledge they need to avoid costly, time-consuming employee claims.

Our employment training courses are all designed to fit with the uniqueness of your organisation.  We do not restrict ourselves or our clients to off-the-shelf programs; we will take the time to discuss with you your organisation or department’s development requirements and business goals, and design training sessions to help you achieve these and get the most out of your investment.
