Hi, I was born in South Africa in 1979. My mother was born in Southern Rhodesia in 1952, both her parents were born in England. My father became a British citizen in 1965 by registration as a citizen of the UK through his father. His mother was born in the UK too. I understand I may be able to claim citizenship now via my mother &/or maternal grandparents?

Dear Sir/Madam,

Many thanks for your Immigration enquiry.

From the information you have provided, you may be in a position to apply for British citizenship. We will of course be required to establish whether your mother is British by decent or British otherwise than decent.

Our immigration solicitors will contact you shortly to discuss your British nationality matter further.
