I am an Indian student studying M.Res (Business) course at Sheffield Hallam University. Our course was going to finish by 31st January’18 and therefore we had received visa until 31st May’18. Now the course is extended until May’18 provided that only dissertation is left to submit. Our all assignments finished on 18th January’18 and we were informed that if by end of February we submit our thesis then only we will get degree on time else we will get provisional marks for dissertation and will get degree during May'18. I feel this is very unfair as no one can finish giving quality dissertation within one month time. Also, I didn't receive any good outcome from student support officer.

Can I ask for compensation or extension on this ground from university?
