Veejay specialises in asylum and immigration matters including deportation, entry clearance, human rights, European Union applications, work permit, student applications and judicial review matters. He has successfully represented clients at their appeal stages in the First Tier and Upper Tier Tribunal.
Veejay is qualified under the Law Society's immigration & asylum Accreditation Scheme as a Senior Caseworker and Supervisor, which allows him to specialise in immigration & Nationality law and provide highly specialist legal advice to clients.
Veejay provides pro-bono work in assisting charities in the UK in developing their Constitution and Contractual agreements with service providers. Veejay is a founding member of the Kindness in Communities Group in the UK which works with members of the community of a variety of ethnic origins in need of assistance in developing their career and finding employment.
Veejay is currently involved in Women and Child Welfare Rights projects in the UK, Albania, Africa, India and Pakistan. He provides support to human rights projects on a Panel of International human rights lawyers and social workers. He is currently involved in a project, 'Protecting Street Children in India'. He will be touring India later this year to hold dialogues with organisations that are involved in human rights based education at schools and the community. In Albania he provides collaborative work with the National Reconciliation Committee in a project that offers free Mediation services in an effort to enhance the development of conflict resolution skills in areas that suffer from family blood feud. Veejay has also been appointed as a team leader in the Serve Africa Building Bridges project of the Brahma Kumaris University involving values education and kindness in communities.
Veejay qualified as a Solicitor in November 2005 and joined OTS Solicitors in 2016. He achieved his Masters in Law, LLM in 2007 in the area of commercial arbitration and dispute resolution. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Law in the area of international human rights law.
