Job Description

OTS Solicitors are offering a Legal Internship. The Internship is normally full-time lasting 1-3 months.

Prospective Interns will have recently graduated and need not have completed the LPC or BPTC, but must have a demonstrable interest in law. Above all, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is able to work under pressure and is keen to develop a practical working-knowledge of all areas of legal services offered by the firm.

During the Internship you will be required to assist Paralegals, Solicitors, Head of Departments and Management with a variety of tasks. We try to provide as much exposure as possible to the day to day legal tasks.

Occasionally assignments will also include talking to clients under supervision, understanding their needs from various channels, such as telephone enquiries, email enquiries, social media engagements, etc. During the Internship you will be expected to use your initiative and shadow Solicitors with legal tasks relating to Immigration, Employment, Family, and Litigation; including appeals and judicial review. It is important to create the right impression, and therefore important to the Firm that you are smart and polite and helpful to client’s and colleagues.
