Dear, I Have Been Living In The Uk Since 1 October 2016 I Got Pre Settlement Status In 2019 4 April
Dear, I have been living in the UK since 1 October 2016. I got pre-settlement status in 2019. On 4 April 2020, I moved back to Belgium to give birth. I understand we have to move back to the UK by 3 April 2021 if we want to keep the possibility to apply for settlement status on 1 October 2021. But what is not clear to me is how long we have to stay in the UK from 3 April onwards if we do not want loose the possibility to apply for settlement status. It is not clear to me how to understand the single 12-month absence period exactly. Imagine we would stay in the UK till the end of June and then move back to Belgium. Would we then be able to apply for settlement status? Or do we have to stay till 1 October 2021?
