Hi, I am holding the tier 4 visa and will be expired in mid of Jan. My boss wants to sponsor me but they just apply for a sponsor license this week. So I would like to know do I have enough time for applying the tier 2 visa? Thanks

Thank you for your enquiry. If you employer has only applied this week, you must note that it can take anywhere between 4 – 8 weeks for a decision to be made. As well as that, you must ensure that you are assigned the appropriate COS and apply for a Tier 2 visa before your Tier 4 visa expires. If you do not think that this can be done before the expiry of your visa, you may wish to return to your home country and make your Tier 2 visa application from there, so as to ensure that you do not risk your Immigration status in the UK. Please feel free to get in touch or book a consultation for further information.
