What if I cannot afford to sponsor a visit visa?
Hello there. I am making a UK Visitor Visa invitation for my boyfriend in Turkey however I am in receipt of benefits. I claim universal credit as I am a full time mother and am not currently working. I have listed that I will sponsor his trip because I can afford to do so, however will this be refused? I am confident with every other area in my invitation but this is just something that worries me.

Thank you for your enquiry.
Visit visas are frequently refused on the basis of lack of evidence to detail financial circumstances. The applicant is not obliged to rely on you for finances and would be able to provide evidence of their own finances to satisfy this requirement. Details of employment and bank statements etc. may be appropriate to show there are enough funds to support the visit. For more information, please call 02039599123 or click here
